The Creature Code LLC ("The Creature Code," "we," "us," or "our") operates thecreaturecode.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Data We Collect
Contact form submissions
When you fill out the contact form, we collect your name, email address, project description, and any other information you choose to include. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
App launch notifications
If you sign up to be notified about an upcoming app, we collect your email address. We use it only to send that one notification email when the app launches.
Usage and analytics data
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. This collects anonymized data such as pages visited, time on site, device type, browser, and approximate geographic region (country/region level). No personally identifiable information (such as your name or email address) is sent to Google Analytics. See Section 4 for more details.
Payment information
For paid app subscriptions or services, payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not collect or store your credit card number or other payment credentials.
Data you do not provide
We do not purchase third-party data, build advertising profiles, or track you across other sites.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect to:
- Respond to contact form inquiries and client requests
- Send app launch notifications to those who requested them
- Understand site traffic patterns and improve the site
- Process payments for paid services or subscriptions
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties beyond what is described in Section 4.
3. Cookies
We use cookies primarily for analytics. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. These cookies do not contain personally identifiable information.
Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may affect site functionality, but the core content of this site is accessible without cookies.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
4. Third-Party Services
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized traffic data. No personally identifiable information (name, email, user ID) is forwarded to Google. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Resend (email delivery)
Contact form submissions and app notification emails are delivered via Resend. Email addresses are transmitted to Resend only for the purpose of sending a specific email. Resend's privacy policy is available at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Payment processors
Paid services are handled by a third-party payment processor. Any data you provide during checkout is governed by that processor's privacy policy. We will identify the processor in the checkout flow.
5. Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to handle the inquiry or maintain a client relationship. App notification emails are retained until the notification is sent, after which they are deleted. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default retention settings.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us (see Section 7).
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable law, including:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you

To exercise any of these rights, submit a request via our contact form. We will respond within 30 days.
7. GDPR and CCPA Considerations
European users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, our legal basis for processing your data is your consent (for analytics cookies) or our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries and improving the site. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

We do not sell personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
